Horsebox Services
Due to the fact that we have the facilities to carry out a full conversion 'in house', we are also able to offer a wide range of services to existing horsebox owners as well.
Anything from a simple service and MOT test, repairs or adjustments and refurbishments to living / horse area or storage facilities, the addition of a luton above cab for a sleeping area, right through to a chassis change to give a new lease of life to your existing horsebox is possible. Maybe you just fancy a change and would like a more modern appearance to your vehicle in the form of a respray?
Camera systems are becoming more widely available at readily affordable prices and with multi camera capabilities being a common feature, can give peace of mind whilst traveling as you are able to monitor the horses in the horse area from the cab, and also give you the benefit of a clear view behind the vehicle while reversing. These can be retro fitted to any horsebox and to minimise disruption to your existing vehicle, we recommend the new wireless variety which simply need a 12-24v supply and transmit the picture to the monitor screen without the need to run RCA cabling the length of the vehicle. These can be supplied by us if need be and having used these in the past on our new builds, we can honestly say we were impressed with both the picture quality and the overall build quality of the units.
It's possible that your electrical system has deteriorated over the years and things are no longer working as they should do? Leisure battery may be failing to charge or worse still, draining the main battery cells and leaving you stranded when you least appreciate it! We can rectify faults and replace any suspect or faulty wiring for you and either upgrade the old relays and fuse boxes with more reliable modern equivalents, remove relay charging systems completely to fit a failsafe manual isolating circuit to be sure you never get stranded again, or even fit the new fully automated split charge / battery monitoring systems created by Smart Gauge which will not only charge the batteries and prevent draining of the engine starting power, but also let you know when a battery is failing to hold any charge for an acceptable period of time and needs replacing.
